Tax professionals are knowledge workers, they ‘think for a living’. This is lucrative, but it inevitably comes with continuous maintenance and regular refresher courses. The Apertas Academy offers two programs.
Apertas Permanent Education
Apertas Permanent Education offers tax professionals an attractive opportunity to comply with their CE-requirements. Once a month, late in the afternoon, we organise a two and a half hour lecture (followed by a debate) at a centrally located venue in the Netherlands. The issues are always topical and course participants can make suggestions. The presenters are experienced tax professionals, often also attached to a university. Each session is worth 2.5 CE-credits or hours if you sign the attendance register both before and after the session. A subscription costs € 125,00 a month for a minimum duration of three months; after that, you can cancel with a month’s notice.
If you want to stay up-to-date with the Permanent Education program or if you want to enroll, go here. If you have any questions, contact us via phone (030-320 0044) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Tax professionals who specialise in international tax law can follow our topical and dynamic Apertas BEPS Certification program. This course will keep them fully informed about all the latest developments. The program combines in-depth theory with practical pointers. All the topics from the OECD, the UN, and the EU process are covered: from the ATAD to substance and from profit allocation to government support.
Participating in this program requires three months of hard work, involves debating with fellow course participants and giving a presentation. The group consists of maximum ten participants. The course will be completed after an oral exam and an essay. So the bar is set high. Those who successfully achieve their certification have the obligation to attend several sessions a year and to get their current knowledge assessed again. That’s the only way recertification is achieved.
